International Relations

International Relations (IR) is the study and practice of the interactions between sovereign states, as well as non-state actors, in the global arena. It encompasses various fields, including politics, economics, security, and law, and examines how countries cooperate, conflict, and negotiate issues such as trade, diplomacy, warfare, and human rights. The discipline seeks to understand the political dynamics, power structures, and historical contexts that shape the relationships between nations. It also explores the influence of international organizations, such as the United Nations, and the role of international treaties and agreements in governing state behavior. International Relations is also concerned with the impact of globalization, transnational issues, and the increasing interdependence of states in addressing shared challenges.
