EFL

EFL stands for “English as a Foreign Language.” It refers to the teaching and learning of English by individuals whose native language is not English. EFL courses and programs are designed to help learners develop their English language skills for various purposes, such as travel, work, study, or cultural exchange. Unlike ESL (English as a Second Language), which typically applies to learners who are immersed in an English-speaking environment, EFL often occurs in a non-English-speaking country where learners have limited exposure to the language outside of the classroom. EFL instruction may encompass all aspects of language learning, including speaking, listening, reading, and writing, and often emphasizes practical communication skills and cultural awareness.
