Fútbol

Fútbol, known as soccer in some countries, is a team sport played between two teams of eleven players each. The objective of the game is to score goals by getting a ball into the opposing team’s net, using primarily the feet, but also the head and torso. The game is played on a rectangular field, known as a pitch, with a goal at each end.

Fútbol is governed by a set of rules known as the Laws of the Game, maintained by the International Football Association Board (IFAB). The sport is one of the most popular and widely played sports globally, with millions of fans and players. Fútbol matches are typically played in two halves of 45 minutes each, with a 15-minute halftime break. The team that scores the most goals by the end of the match wins.

In addition to recreational play, fútbol is organized on various levels of competition, including local leagues, national championships, and international tournaments such as the FIFA World Cup. The sport emphasizes teamwork, strategy, and skill, and it has a significant cultural impact in many countries around the world.
